New perspectives for rivers

Climate change and new land uses have a deep impact on the rivers in the Nord-Western region of Münsterland in Germany. What are scenarios for a sustainable development of rivers, finding answers for flood control? How can people experience rivers, can they find a new relationship with these complex forces? The manual has been developed by the interdisciplinary team of Stein+Schultz (large scale landscape design, process design), Koenzen (river assessment), farwick+grote (architecture and urban design) and landinsicht (visualization). Until 2015 a series of discussions and interviews explore the „state of the art“ and keep on with the interdisciplinary work. Commissioned by Regionale 2016-Agentur, since 2011.
