Coleman Barracks is one of the numerous military sites in Mannheim that will become available for new uses. A group of citizens has elaborated a set of ideas and plans. But the city administration and other groups do have ideas, too. What can a sustainable future land use look like? How can we integrate this former “no go area” into the cityscape? An initial workshop with citizens, politicians and institutions set the focus on the spatial dimensions and qualities. Stein+Schultz designed the process and facilitated the workshop, together with bb22. Commissioned by the city of Mannheim, 2013 – to be continued in 2014
